TWO entrepreneurs in Scotland are in line for a Jewel Award, which marks the impact of British Asians on the economy.

Dr Rabinder Buttar gained a PhD in Immunology at Strathclyde University in 1988 and founded ClinTec International in 1997 to develop medicines.

They have been nominated for the northern regional awards which cover Scotland and the north of England.

FINE food firm Braehead Foods are moving to a purpose-built factory in Kilmarnock next week.

The new unit is six times the size of their current building and will feature a demonstration kitchen, restaurant and shop.

Founded in 1988, the Ayrshire firm specialise in game but also sell cheeses from around the world, dry goods and Belgian chocolate.
